Bill Davis to Head Indiana Alcohol Law Revision Panel

Former State Rep. Bill Davis was named to head the Indiana Alcohol Code Revision Commission.

He routinely blocked proposals to expand cold beer and Sunday sales when he was chairman of the Indiana House Public Policy Committee.  That led the Indianapolis Star to speculate that the appointment might be “bad news” for cold beer sales.

But we’re told that he’s a “solid choice,” and unlikely to have any predisposed plan.  Davis’s predecessor was described to us as “a mummy-dummy for the c-store crowd.”
