Bently Heritage Gets Set to Launch from Historic Nevada Building

Bently Heritage Estate Distillery will open early this year in the century-old Minden Flour Mill, a Minden, Nev., landmark listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Owners Christopher and Camille Bently have restored the historic building to state-of-the-art standards.

The new distillery will use sustainably-produced grainsĀ from Bently Ranch, outside Minden. Winter rye, oats, wheat, corn, and barley will be milled on-site and malted in-house on the malting floor.

The Mill Building will create single-malt whisky using handmade Forsyths pot stills imported from Scotland. The Creamery Building will distill vodka and gin, using Carl pot stills imported from Germany. Bently Heritage Estate Distillery has already begun the process of oak barrel aging for their single-malt whisky and bourbon.

Spirits industry veteran Jeff Hodson is the company’s director of sales and is in charge of launching Bently Heritage Estate Distillery’s Juniper Grove American Dry Gin and Source One Vodka in Nevada through Breakthru Beverage Nevada and in California and Arizona through Young’s Market Co.

Source One Vodka will retail for approximately $32-34. Source One Vodka Rested in Sherry Oak Casks will retail for approximately $36-38. Juniper Grove American Dry Gin will retail for approximately $38-40.
