Alma Rosa Winery Opens Tasting Room on Historic Ranch

Since 2015, Alma Rosa‘s wines have been available to taste in its urban tasting room on Industrial Way, a hip industrial neighborhood in Buellton, CA. “Our beautiful tasting room on Industrial Way offers a sit-down tasting experience with reclaimed Douglas Fir tables, contemporary design and a more urban vibe,” says Debra Eagle, general manager.

But now considers have the opportunity to taste wines at Alma Rosa’s historic ranch in the heart of the Sta. Rita Hills, surrounded by the estate’s CCOF certified organic vineyards. These intimate tastings, held either at the historic ranch house or outdoors under the 80-year-old Wisteria Arbor, will give guests the rare opportunity to sample the winery’s most limited-production wines while learning about Alma Rosa’s viticulture, grape growing history and winemaking practices. Each guided tasting experience lasts roughly 90 minutes and costs $55 per person. Reservations are required in advance.

“The addition of private tasting experiences at our historic ranch in the Sta. Rita Hills provides a unique perspective on our winery and vineyards, revealing the heart and soul of Alma Rosa,” shares Sanford. “After all, the name Alma Rosa means ‘soul of the rose’ and is a tribute to the original Santa Rosa land grant on which the estate vineyards are planted, serving as a reminder of our ties to the land and roots in the area. We look forward to sharing this special place with our guests.”
