Dueling Barrels Distillery, Pikesville, Ky., will open Thursday (6/28). The name plays off Eastern Kentucky’s famous Hatfield and McCoy feud.
Next January, the distillery will join the Kentucky Bourbon Trail. Officials hope that will help boost tourism in Pikesville and Eastern Kentucky.
The late Pearce Lyons, Alltech’s founder, hoped the distillery would help reinvigorate the economy of Eastern Kentucky.
